How To Style Faux Leather Leggings
I know what you’re thinking, again with these faux-leather leggings? What can I say… I like to make sure I get the full return on my investments. (Even though this particular investment was only $35!) I know I say this about a lot of different items in my closet, but in all honestly these cool leggings are one of the best things I’ve ever purchased! I’ve styled them countless times here on the blog, and let’s not even mention the times I’ve worn these without documenting it. I pretty much lived in these during the winter. Most recently I styled them here last summer and here during the winter. I promise you’ll find a million different ways to style these this spring and summer–and really any season for that matter. So, if I’ve convinced you to get your hands on these, then here are a few styling tips on how to style faux leather leggings.
Cover IT!
First things first, please do not wear these without a top, shirt or coat that covers your butt! That’s the biggest mishap I see when girls style leggings. Leggings are meant to be worn with something that covers your behind, always. They already add a bit of sexiness, so don’t over do it.
Neutrals For The Win
My favorite way to style these leggings are with some neutrals colors. Remember, there’s a thin line between making these look classy and tacky if you over style them. Wear these with some neutrals pieces to complement them nicely. I mean black goes with everything, but in this case, I promise these faux leather leggings look best with neutrals. If you do want to add some color, go for pastels!
Tight On The Bottom, Loose On The Top
Lastly, go with more classic flowy pieces to create a more chic and refined look. You are already wearing something really tight underneath, so pair these leggings with looser pieces on top to create a balanced look. FYI, Slouchy knits are a great way to style these during the colder months.
